Tile Flooring Installation & Service Rhode Island
Ceramic tile refinishing is a process that involves specialized equipment, primers, bonding agents, top coats and clear finishes. The differences between painting vs. refinishing tile are durability, surface gloss and how long the new surface will last.
Ceramic tiles that are painted with simple spray enamels or with rolled-on epoxy will not look as good as professionally refinished tile. They will also not last as long as professionally refinished tile, nor feel like real tile.
Ceramic tile refinishing is the only practical way to reproduce the look of original tile. The beautiful glaze you see in ceramic tile is baked on in kilns at temperatures ranging from 900F to 2500F. The term tile reglazing is a misnomer as it is impractical to remove ceramic tile that has been installed and ship it back to the factory for re-firing in a kiln.
Refinishing is a much better option to replacing ceramic tile. It is not only more practical, but also less expensive than new tile and you avoid the mess of removal and replacement. It is also far superior to a porcelain tile repair kit.
Loose and hollow tile in your kitchen, bath, or in any other tiled area doesn’t require complete tile replacement. If you are considering a large tile renovation, contact Rhode Island Flooring before you begin vetting other home renovation contractors. Our tile replacement services are not just cost-effective. Repairing tile offers solutions to a few potential problems.
Tile is a durable and great-looking flooring option homeowners love. It’s perfect for high-traffic areas in your home and rooms that are susceptible to dirt, moisture or humidity. Certain types of tile flooring are also a treat for cold feet when paired with radiant-heated floors.
Tile floors are meant to last – make sure installation and repairs are done right the first time, with Rhode Island Flooring.
TILE FLOOR REPAIR
The beauty of tile flooring is that it’s easy to repair compared to laminate, vinyl or linoleum flooring. If a tile breaks, chips or becomes stained, Rhode Island Flooring can replace the tile and fill the grout lines to ensure it matches the rest of the flooring.
Our Tile Floor Installation Services
Tile floor installation requires proper subfloor preparation to prevent water damage and to ensure a long-lasting floor. Whether it’s cement board or a tile backer base, we make sure we have all the necessary materials for installation. For heavy tile like slate, we make sure the floor has the necessary reinforcements for proper installation.
Once the tile is laid and the mortar has set, we fill the grout lines. Since grout needs a few weeks to completely cure, we’ll come back and apply a grout sealant, if necessary, to prevent stains.
Rhode Island Flooring offers custom order services for our clients. We provide our clients with whatever requirement they have, under any budget and also provide this great service under cheap rates.
Delivering quality and integrity to your project through our single most important product: ourselves.
We allow our customers the confidence in knowing their projects are handled from the procurement to installation in the most professional manner.
